In the Archdiocese of Wellington, Confirmation and First Communion are celebrated close to each other, or at the same ceremony. At the age of 8 or Year 4 of the School Year, children are invited into the second stage of formation for Sacraments. They are prepared for Confirmation, Reconciliation and Communion.
Across the Communities the processes are adapted to the circumstances of the families and the communities. Most of our preparation happens in the family, resourced by the Parish.
